AI Has Serious Advantages Over Human Therapists, Can Outperform Human Psychologists, and Will Only Get Better Fast
Sure, a person with a doctorate in philosophy and an advanced diploma of psychology who is pursuing their clinical masters might say uncomfortable things about AI being better for therapy than humans, but facing a difficult truth is never popular. It's also understandable that anyone who's invested years and tens of thousands of dollars getting qualified as a psychotherapist might be deeply biased against ever admitting of such an outcome or reality.
Of course psychological scientists should have a better understanding of biases and confounding variables - and of biases as confounding variables. However, psychological science also explains why certain personality types will try to construct truth socially rather than face hard facts which they feel threatened by.It has recently been predicted that - due to AI - most professions will only retain very elite human professionals who have genius or gifted IQs. This pattern is already presenting itself in the real world. Psychology is included.
